The homeowners were looking for an entertaining family oriented area for their back yard. The homeowners association was a treat to deal with – with creativity and planning, our team was able to create just the right magical environment for this family! Sandi wanted to name this one “Buckley Family Fun Land” but the homeowner wasn’t keen on that long of a name, so it became known as the”Buckley Inn” a place for everyone to gather and enjoy life and each other. Beautifully done!
The pool is a hybrid, by the Pool Guy, Al Curtis, in his signature style. That means the main part of the pool is a vinyl liner with the Tru-Tile Ceramic Tile system and specific style liner by Latham Industries. The sun ledge, entry steps, deep end step and grotto are gunite, giving this pool the best of both worlds. The pool equipment features two pumps, three filters, a heater for quick heating of the spa, and a heat pump to maintain the preferred ambient water temperature of about 85 degrees throughout the summer.
Our stonework has taken on a signature style. Instead of using one type of decorative stone for everything, our team combines many different styles and textures, adding marbles, stones, castings of different objects and shapes, and hand carves as well to create a truly unique blend of aesthetics. Signage for this project was created by db Designs, and landscaping was done by Ask the Garden Gal, Jodi Cook. Frank DiPiazza was instrumental in creating the swim up bar and finishing the interior carpentry, and of course this project was led by Al Curtis, designer, builder, his right hand and daughter Jesse Curtis. Annie Curtis created most of the stone work and spa surround. Karen Olson is responsible for carving and bluestone/tile work and of course “Sparty” a fitting character at this pool as we know that one of the homeowners was Sparty back in his college days! Mark Curtis installed the mechanical elements and plumbing making sure this pool can function as beautifully as it does!
