Southfield, MI Indoor Gunite Pool and Spa 2011
One of @askthepoolguy’s 2011 projects was this indoor gunite pool with spillover spa. The geometric pool was finished in white marcite with a blue tile line, and features an accent waterfall in the corner. When designing your indoor pool, make sure to allow for adequate air flow and venting and moisture remediation, an important consideration in the construction of an indoor pool. Another recommendation is to consider what qualities you’d like the room to have for the best view, seating area, and for sound control if you plan to entertain any number of people. With water and walls in an enclosed space, the noise will be travelling and bouncing off the walls – literally. So plan for this with some well placed and strategically designed elements for the best custom indoor swimming pool experience possible.
A stone/tile coping was used as the pool surround, and the flooring is an accent tile.
