Rockin’ on the Rockstar Stage!

When we started the project that turned into the Rockstar Swimming Pool Experience, neither we nor the homeowner had any idea just how this would turn into such an amazing venue. The initial inquiry was for something “larger than life” to take the place of a tired older inground vinyl liner pool.

Enter: the Pool Guy’s imagination.

From there, the footprint of the yard that would be used for the new project was determined, and Al went to work designing something completely unique, and fitting the homeowner’s varied interests, and personality. The new pool is extremely large for a residential swimming pool – with about 60,000 gallons of water, and a 20′ concrete stage set on steel trusses along the entire deep end of the pool. Underneath the stage you’ll find the pools swim-in / under stage area complete with concrete speakers, lighting, benches for sitting and a standing platform. Concerts can be enjoyed from the various seats (converted Tilt-A Whirl cars that are themed with KISS graphics), from any of the abundant patio areas, the new Trex Deck, the “Observation Tower” and from in the pool.

The equipment systems that run this pool are all automated, and situated behind the stage. There are dedicated systems for the pool and spa circulation, a pool heater and a heat pump, IC60 Salt Chlorine Generators by Pentair, and a separate set of pumps for the waterfall and sheer decent stage features. The pool is heated from the bottom with an automatic in-floor heating/cleaning/efficiency system. Custom Fabricated Steel Guitars create the immense “Lit” guitar fire features. These custom steel guitars are also controlled with the same Pentair ScreenLogic app for turning on and off the gas/flame fire feature. The app also controls the in-pool lighting accomplished with Zodiac lighting, and the patio lighting up the 6′ tall guitars, created by Daren Baker of db Designs, adorning the fence posts. Deanna Baker the other half of db Designs is the artist responsible for the incredible mural on the floor of the pool, as well as the light up/reverse painted images under the stage featuring Rock and Roll and the Kiss Album Covers.

The homeowner has entertained with a Swim In Showing of the movie “Jaws” after dark, and the inaugural KISS Cancer Goodbye benefit featuring Copperhead and Kore Rozzik on stage.

This is truly one of a kind, and sits on the property of the Archangel Horse Rescue and private home of one truly spectacular individual.

The team at Legendary Escapes are accepting inquires for their next incredible project. If you have ideas for a backyard swimming pool experience and would like to collaborate with the Pool Guy, please call to discuss what you are dreaming up.
